Atelier Lobo & Raymann is a partnership of two architects established in 1988,
Ronny Lobo Msc. and Kenneth Raymann Msc.

Ronny Lobo (Curaçao, 1954)

graduated in architecture at the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands, in 1978. He received his training as an architect among others by Aldo van Eyck and Herman Hertzberger.

Humanistic architecture and rich colour scheme

After a three-year career at the Department of Public Works in Curaçao and three years in the architects firm of Tom Janga, he established his own architectural firm in 1985.

Competition

In 1991 he won a competition with a design for public housing in the historical area of Willemstad. In 2002 this plan received a mention in the Architecture Biennial of the Federation of Caribbean Associations of Architects (FCAA) in Martinique. For his achievements in design Ronny Lobo received the highest cultural award in Curaçao (Cola Debrot) in 1992.

Lectures

He lectured in Curaçao, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Barbados, Jamaica, Colombia, Brazil, Lebanon and the Dominican Republic and has been a Jury member for architectural competitions in Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Bahamas and Martinique. He is Past President of the Federation of Caribbean Associations of Architects FCAA and SAIA, the local architects association. He is also Past Council Member of the UIA, the International Union of Architects.

Kenneth Raymann (Suriname 1954)

graduated in architecture at the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands, in 1978. He started his career at 'Architecten- en ingenieursburo Tjin A Djie & partners, Suriname'.
